Pele is nick name of former Brazilian player Edson Arantes do Nascimento. He was born on October 23rd 1940 in Tres Corcoes Brazil.He atarted playing for Santos Futebol Clube at an aga of 15 and he played his first national match at age of 16 only. He is considered to be greatest in the history of soccer. He is considered as national hero in Brazil for his contribution in the game.
He is officially declared as the football embassador of the world by FIFA and he is also considered as national treasure of Brazil. He is very well known for his social services for the poor children. During his carrer he became well known as THE KING PELE or he was also known as THE KING OF FOOTBALL. He was also given the title of best athelete of the century by the International Olympic Committee and also was awarded as the best football player of all time.
Pele is a all time top scorer for the brazilian team and not only Brazil but he is the only footballer to take part in three world cup wins(except 1962) which is absolutly remarkeable. In short the four letter word FIFA is glows when other four letter word pele is added to its history.
