Born on the 30th of October 1960, Diego Armando Maradona was one of the greatest footballers of all time. Hailing from Argentina, he has played in the four World Cups and has received the award of the Best Footballer of the Twentieth Century awarded by FIFA.

Maradona has also been the people’s choice award and has been polled as the Best Football player in history. Like many of his league, Maradon, while playing for clubs like Boca Juniors, SSC Napoli and others has won several trophies, during the span of his career. During his golden years of his career, Maradona has had 34 goals and 91 caps. Maradona is also responsible for leading Argentina to in the FIFA world cup championships, winning the victory over Germany in 1986. During this time he has also received the prestigious Golden Ball Award of being the best player in the tournament.

Maradona, after getting caught and found guilty of drug abuse, was suspended for more than year in 1991 and 1994 World Cup’s in the US. Today Maradona, a retired professional football player, is a TV host in Argentina. Maradona has successfully kicked his addictions and lives a healthy life in his homeland.
